1980 – Foundation of ATM

2015 – ATM becomes part of Verder

Joining the Verder Group opens up international networks and new development opportunities for ATM.

2020 – ATM and QNESS merge to form QATM

ATM and QNESS join forces to become QATM – the new benchmark in materialography and hardness testing. Together, they offer integrated solutions and set new standards in quality and precision.

2021 – Launch of the Qmount

The Qmount sets new standards in UV embedding – faster and safer than ever before.

2022 – Introduction of the Qcut 600 BOT

The first fully automatic cutting robot with up to 5 axes – delivering highest precision and efficiency

2023 – Foundation of the Qprep Competence Center

Focusing entirely on consumables – Qprep becomes the go-to hub for optimized sample preparation.

2025 – Launch of the AI-powered software QAI

A major milestone: With QAI, artificial intelligence becomes an integral part of materialography.
